Domenica and Gaetano will be pleased to welcome you to this pleasant rural retreat, a former monastery built around 1500, set just 800 metres from a sandy beach.

Offering a truly unique experience, the well-equipped, air-conditioned bedrooms of this lovely masseria have been converted from the original buildings that once housed sheep. The tranquil setting provides a quiet and romantic atmosphere and you can even have breakfast in the garden.

After supper on summer evenings, Gaetano (a true Neapolitan) will serenade you in the piano bar until midnight. The maestro will play and sing a selection ranging from Neapolitan classics to international songs.

In addition, the free shuttle service to and from the beach and Ostuni (just 10 km away) really makes it easy to visit this stunning small town, famous for its white houses.

Location

C.da Refrigerio, Ostuni, 72017

This wonderful part of Italy has a lot of things to see and do for all the family. Here are just a few of the options:

Alberobello: Declared an area of historical importance in 1924, this attractive town is famous for its 'trulli' (cone-shaped houses).

Caves: One of the main Apulian tourist sights, the famous Castellana Grotte caves are well worth a visit. The natural caves at Polignano a Mare, inhabited in prehistoric times, are also interesting and the town itself offers breathtaking views over the Adriatic Sea.

Egnazia: Dating back to the 4th and 3rd century BC, here you will find many remains of the Messapian civilisation, an ancient population originating from Crete. The extensive excavations here also reveal the later Roman port and acropolis, forum, and an early Christian basilica.

Lecce: Now famous for its Baroque architecture, in 800 BC Lecce was the capital of Messapia. In 120 AD it became an important Roman colony, as can be seen from the well-preserved ruins of Hadrian’s amphitheatre and the Roman theatre.
